EMPLOYMENT LAW

Emilie Meridjen specializes in employment law. She advises French and foreign companies on drafting documentation and implementing employment strategies. She also represents clients in the French labor and social security courts.

Ms. Meridjen has recently worked on the implementation of redundancy plans (including for companies in liquidation), on the reduction of the work week in digital services companies (SSI), on contractual audits and HR procedures for a retail company, and on the restructuring of corporate governance for an investment fund and its shareholdings.

She has specific expertise in workplace accident and illness procedures, advising on litigation and non-litigation matters.

She regularly provides support to the corporate team in carrying out due diligence and drafting post-acquisition optimization strategies.

She has strong litigation expertise in all courts that hear employment law disputes.

DISTINCTIONS

Ms. Meridjen  is ranked as distinguished by the “Legal 500” guide, which notes her “professionalism and sense of service”.

She was also distinguished in the rankings published by the magazine Option Droit & Affaires, dedicated to employment plans and the related litigation, by the magazine Décideurs in relation to risk litigation, restructurings, corporate reorganizations and the related litigation, collective bargaining negotiations and employee relations, as well as the employment law aspects of M&A and due diligence.

Ms. Meridjen previously practiced with Lefèvre Pelletier & Associés where she was Counsel (2001 – 2010).

Ms. Meridjen represents foreign companies with establishments in France and provides specific, tailored support in both French and English.

TEACHING

Emilie Meridjen teaches employment law relating to the creation of companies at the ESSEC Business School.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Ms. Meridjen holds a degree (maîtrise) in corporate taxation from Paris XI Sceaux and a masters (DESS) in business law and taxation from Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne.
