SVZ ADVISES JAPANESE MERCARI GROUP ON ITS ENTRY INTO THE CAPITAL OF BEEBS

Sekri Valentin Zerrouk, and more particularly Antoine Haï, partner in the M&A-Private Equity department, advised the Japanese company Mercari in the context of its entry into the capital of Beebs.

Mercari is a Japanese group specialising in second-hand marketplaces. It claims more than 20 million monthly active users in Japan and nearly 5 million in the US.

Mercari is participating in Beebs’ second round of financing for an amount of €4 million alongside the investment funds ISAI and Citizen Capital.

Founded in 2020, Beebs is a second-hand platform specialising in the world of children, which has already attracted 1 million parents in France and Belgium. This round of financing will enable the company to support its growth by moving closer to profitability, to improve its reputation through marketing investments, particularly with professionals, and to almost double its workforce.
