Jérôme Assouline is the head of the firm’s tax practice.

Mr. Assouline advises entrepreneurs, funds, and groups of companies on their M&A and restructuring transactions. He is particularly involved in the area of private equity.

He also specializes in private wealth matters, advising entrepreneurs on the reorganization of their professional assets and the transmission of their businesses.

A member of the New York and Paris bars, Mr. Assouline has particular expertise in Franco-American taxation and has extensive knowledge in the area of trust taxation. He represents many American families who own property or reside in France.

He also has expertise in the field of real estate investment and tax litigation.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Mr. Assouline has a degree (maîtrise) in business law from Paris II Assas, a management degree (maîtrise) with a specialty in international business from Paris IX Dauphine, a diploma from the Institute of Business Law (IDA) at Paris II Assas, a masters (DESS) in international taxation from Paris II Assas-HEC, a masters (DEA) in international economics law from Paris I Panthéon La Sorbonne, and an LLM in international taxation from New York University School of Law.

TEACHING

Mr. Assouline teaches at the University of Paris Dauphine and at the ESSEC Business School.

PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

Mr. Assouline is a member of the New York Bar Association, the Institut des Avocats Conseils Fiscaux (IACF), the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), and the International Wealth Advisors Forum. He is also an officer of the Private Clients committee of the international Bar Association (IBA).
