Mr. de Franclieu’s practice focuses on Mergers & Acquisitions.
He has represented French and international M&A clients for over 17 years, advising them on strategic transactions both in France and overseas. He advises entrepreneurs, executives, families, medium-sized companies, international groups, and investment funds on their acquisitions, disposals, and reorganizations. He has particular expertise in leveraged deals such as LBOs and OBOs.
Mr. de Franclieu also specializes in implementing incentive plans, working with the firm’s tax attorneys to assist officers and executives in structuring and negotiating their investments and sales.
He recently advised the founding shareholders of Breaz.io on its sale to Hired.com, the 123 Venture fund on the acquisition of several hotels, the ECG insurance company on the acquisition of the majority of the capital of 1688, and the founders of Can’t Stop Media on the sale of the group to Canal+.
Legal 500 has listed Sekri Valentin Zerrouk as a recommended law firm since 2008. In 2015, the firm’s mergers and acquisitions practice was recommended for its “competence, quality, and timely work. Prior to joining the firm as a partner in 2014, Mr. de Franclieu had been with Allen & Overy LLP, DLA Piper UK LLP, STC Partners (Counsel) and Courtois Lebel (Partner).
Mr. de Franclieu has a degree (maîtrise) in business law and taxation from Paris II Assas (1996), is a graduate of the School of Management of Lyon (EM) with a major in corporate finance (1998), and is a graduate of the Ecole de Formation du Barreau (EFB) (1999).
Mr. de Franclieu is a member of the EM Lyon alumni association and a member of the International Bar Association (IBA).
